It is National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, September 16th through September 22nd. And truckers often get a bum rap from the public. We have so much training and so many regulations to follow. And most all of us take all of that very seriously.
Thousands and thousands of big rigs travel the nations highways every single day, including holidays. We leave our families, our homes, and all the stuff that we have bought and paid for to be out here on the roads day and night moving all your stuff.
We eat, sleep and live in our trucks. We shower in truckstops. We ALWAYS use public restrooms. Most of us are courteous and friendly.
It is hard to leave everything we love behind. But we do love what we do.
